Meet Wendy
Wendy was born in Mumbai, India, to a family with a rich Goan heritage. She has always been a creative soul with a deep love for baking and cooking. After completing her Bachelor of Commerce at the University of Mumbai, Wendy went on to work in the banking industry for 15 years. She married her university sweetheart, Cornell, and together they have built a beautiful life. Becoming a mom to Shannon and Brandon has been Wendy's greatest joy, and they continue to inspire her every day.
Wendy's passion for cooking began with baking Christmas sweets alongside her mom and sisters, which later grew into a boutique baking business, Truffles & More. Though she paused that chapter when moving to Canada, Wendy now brings that same passion to her global community, sharing tried-and-tested recipes that turn out right every time!
Meet Shannon
Shannon grew up in a home filled with love, family traditions, and lots of delicious food. At a young age, she began learning the art of cooking and baking from her talented mom, Wendy. Naturally creative and driven, she pursued her academic journey at McMaster University in Life Sciences before completing the Honours Business Administration (HBA) program at Ivey Business School.
Today, Shannon works full-time in technology consulting while also channelling her passion for content creation. She began this journey behind the camera - filming, editing, and bringing her mom’s recipes to life. Now she has stepped in front of it to share her own voice alongside Wendy!
Our Story
Our content creation journey began with Platin' It With Wendy in fall 2020. As a family that celebrates every occasion with something delicious, we felt inspired to share our passion for food and plating techniques with a wider community. We started by creating recipes with flavours from our Goan heritage, and as our audience grew globally, our recipes were inspired by several cultures and cuisines. Every recipe we share is meticulously tried and tested to ensure it turns out just right, every single time!
